We are a Sri Lankan company. The people who answer your messages live here, and so do the people who drive you.
Who we are
Lankan Hotels is part of Genuine Sri Lankans — Genuine Lanka Holiday & Tours (Pvt) Ltd — a locally owned Sri Lankan tour operator, licensed by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority under SLTDA/SQA/PRO/TA/01094.
The parent company has been arranging trips here since around 1990, and holds 4.9 out of 5 from 472 reviews on Tripadvisor. Those reviews are for Genuine Sri Lankans, not for this website, and we would rather say so plainly than imply otherwise.
The tours and the driving are run by our own team, not subcontracted out.
How booking works
You message us
WhatsApp, email or a video call. Tell us your dates, who is travelling and roughly what you want.
We send one quote
Hotels, the driving between them and anything you add, as a single price. Usually within the hour.
We change it until it fits
Swap hotels, add nights, move the order. There is no charge for changing your mind before you travel.
You travel
The same planner is on WhatsApp the whole time you are here, and the same driver is with you throughout.
What we do not do
There is no booking engine on this website, no checkout, and nowhere to enter a card. That is deliberate. Our rates are contracted with each hotel and change with your dates, so a planner quotes them rather than a database.
We also do not publish hotel rates beyond “from US$45 a night”, because our partner agreements do not allow it.
